Caron & Chris {engaged!} – 3 dogs, the mountains and a beautiful couple January 30, 2016 By Sarah — 6 Comments

I can't quite pinpoint how I get so lucky with my clients; how I, as a rule, have people find me that are so incredibly lovely that I could really have them as friends almost instantaneously. I really do try and present myself as honestly and authentically as possible and I just feel so great about receiving back what I'm putting out there. Caron and Chris traveled from Edmonton and are getting married in Canmore at the Iron Goat in October. It was a warmer afternoon than most this January and I chose the Cochrane Ranche House grounds as the location for this engagement session. I love the little bridges, rolling hills and the open pine forest that surrounds the ranche. And of course, the views of the mountains are spectacular, which I thought was a nice addition since their wedding is in the rocky mountains. Best of 2015! Calgary, Canmore, Banff, Emerald Lake and more Weddings!

2015: oh what a year it's been! (that's a pretty decent rhyme if you ask me) They say that the days

are long but the years are short and I have to say I very much agree with that. Especially now that I have a child of my own and the years are measured in just how much he grows and all the new things he does each and every day. Looking back on 2015 makes me really happy. It was the beginning of my tenth year in business and a year that I felt like I really achieved an amazing work/life balance; it's difficult as an entrepreneur to find balance, especially as someone who really enjoys my work. This year took me a lot of places. I was in Kananaskis at the Delta Lodge, I shot in Canmore multiple times and finally made it out to Fernie and witnessed the aweinspiring splendor of Island Lake Lodge. Emerald Lake Lodge was on the roster, a definite happy place, and the Calgary Zoo was a popular venue this year.
