The goal for the lighting design for the co-working space in Houston, Texas, in the town of Montrose, was to apply contrast and brightness against the dark bricked walls and the light concreteflooring.Theusersofthesurroundingworkingareasand walkways would have guidance to navigate freely through the high-traffic work areas. By doing so, applying lux oval lighting fixtures with alternate heights creates a design within the light fixturesthemselves, sconesalongsideeachofficetocreateaflow throughout the space and help with fluidity. The overall purpose wastocreatedifferenttypes, heights, andbrightnessesoflighting fixtures to allow users to feel comfortable in their lighting environment.
project statement lighting concept

concept statement
The goal for the newly designed home in Washington D.C. was to apply ornamentation within the interior to elevate the home and give the client a piece of where they are from. Al-Masjid an-Nabawi,'TheProphetofMuhammad'inSaudiArabia,isasacredplaceofmanypraiseand worship. The mosque brings public expression of the Islamic religion and communal identity. Incorporated in different shapes and sizes of marble, porcelain flooring, and unique ceiling crown moldings represented the applied ornamentation. A semi-open floor plan will allow privacy, similar to the mosque, which would welcome guests into the home. As a result of this design, theclienthadasmallrepresentationoftheirhomewithmodernattributes.
