From the Ground Up

BUILDERS AND REMODELERS ARE BUSIER THAN EVER THESE DAYS, now that the supply chain issue in the pandemic years has lessened. We couldn’t be happier for our members!

In this Spring-Summer issue of At Home on Cape Cod, we proudly showcase some of the latest work from members of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod, which reflect this issue’s theme, “From the Ground Up.”

Cape Cod is all about the views and our three feature stories illustrate how creative a builder can be to bring the outside in. Our cover story “Coastal Elegance” features SV Design’s remodel of an existing Orleans house built in the 1990s, while “Industrial Rustic” highlights Whalebone’s new build in Barnstable. Seeking to forge generations of family summers on a Bourne oceanfront, Halliday Building worked closely with the owners to craft “The Compound,” which has plenty of rooms and outdoor spaces to accommodate a growing family.

In other features, member Donna Elle gives us insight into her unique interior design sensibility in our profile, “House Whisperer.” and learn how a team of architects and housing experts is working to offer a solution to the Cape’s housing crisis.
