Nurturing Cape Cod’s Future Writers Grant Recipient: Cape Cod Writers Center ometimes all children need to achieve success is a little inspiration and a boost of confidence. At the Cape Cod Writers Center, a group of aspiring writers is getting a healthy dose of both thanks to a program aimed at giving students the tools needed to express themselves on paper. S THANK YOU The program, Tomorrow’s Writers Today, has been in existence since 2011 and exposes Cape Cod students between the ages of 12 and 17 to published authors, ranging from poets to journalists to novelists, who provide them with guidance on the writing process. “We offer students individualized attention to improve and enhance their literary skills and introduce them to careers in writing, journalism and communication arts,” says the center’s Police & Fire
Executive Director Nancy Rubin Stuart. The students often use those skills immediately as they contribute to their school’s Departments newspaper, yearbook, literary clubs, and poetry slams.
