Meditation and Contemplation: A Campus Sanctuary - Academic - 2016 Task Board, Wax, Spray Paint, Masonite Inspired by the Kamppi Chapel of Silence in Helsinki, Finland, this calming secular chapel contrasts the hectic and fast-paced environment on Colby College’s campus. As a refuge for meditation and reflection through sensory deprivation, this sculptural structure protects, shields, and promotes focus.

This Kennebec River bank redesign reimagines the waterfront as a gathering space. Structured landings reconnect the Waterville, ME community with a river that played a significant role in its history as a mill town.

Coffee Table - Academic - 2014 Walnut
I built this 3’x4’ coffee table in a furniture making course using live edge walnut. The tabletop is four strips glued side-by-side, and the curved detail is made of layered 1/4” walnut strips.
Diatom Lifecycle - Academic - 2015 Limestone, Alder
Carved from a 12�x12� block of limestone, the stone is inspired by the shape of a diatom, while the alder mimics the energetic process of asexual reproduction that the diatom undergoes.

I constructed this three-piece configuration of cold connected sheet metal that connects me to the wall by way of my head, neck, and shoulder.
Glyptotek Courtyard Infill - Academic - 2015 Revit, Photoshop, Cardboard
This museum gallery takes the place of an existing courtyard within the Glyptotek Sculpture Museum in Copenhagen. The design catalyzes movement of museum visitors throughout the gallery in a gear-like flow, creating a smooth and varied visitor experience.
Creation Corner Redesign - Internship - 2016 Wood, Spray Paint, Tissue Paper, Wire, Florals
I designed this revitalization of an arts and crafts space at the Children’s Discovery Museum in Augusta, Maine. Wood and tissue paper mobiles are reminiscent of leaves, while floral spirals hanging from the ceiling create an inspiring canopy of color. I painted a whimsical landscape on the walls and used abstract tree shapes to frame the space and complete the “arts and crafts jungle” motif.
