Tangalooma - Brisbane Queensland - Where The Fish Gather

Located on the eastern shoreline of Moreton Island, the Tangalooma Resort is a significant environmental and urban landmark of the Brisbane coastal area. The site was established as a whaling station in 1952 until the practice in 1963. The site was later renovated as a marine education and conservation centre promoting environmental awareness. An island resort was established adjacent to the conservation centre in 1980.
