GLAS, a design co-operative based in Glasgow, was established in 2000 to produce critical works on architecture and space. During the five years of its existence, GLAS produced a regular publication (glaspaper), ran community and educational workshops, developed feasibility studies for social organisations and mounted exhibitions in Glasgow and Berlin.
In 2004 GLAS won the inaugural National Achievement Award for Architecture in recognition of its contribution to the architecture community in Scotland.
