SMART METERS - YOUR NEW HOME IRRIGATION TOOL
Save water and money this summer by taking control of your irrigation use. Now that smart water meters have been installed citywide, every home has access to near-real time data about their water use. Log into your personal dashboard to see how many gallons you used when watering, get notifications of possible leaks, and estimate monthly bills based on your current water usage.
In the coming months, Allen water customers will be able to set up recurring or one-time payments through the WaterSmart system, keeping water data, alerts and payment history conveniently in one place.
Whether you want to catch leaks quickly or are curious about your summertime consumption, don’t miss out on the advantages offered by the new smart meters and the customer portal!
What do you want Allen to look like 20 years from now? The City of Allen is updating Allen’s Comprehensive Plan, creating a vision for the future of our whole community.
Input and involvement from residents, Allen business owners and other community members is vital to creating a plan that truly reflects our city.
We want to hear from you! Look for ways to share your feedback on Allen’s online public engagement platform: Engage Allen. This site serves as the source for both virtual input opportunities and information about in-person events. It also offers resources such as videos, draft documents and more to help keep residents informed throughout the process.

Closures and other temporary service changes will begin in late summer/early fall. For more information, visit AllenLibrary.org/Expansion
ALLEN POLICE HEADQUARTERS
Allen Police Department is currently in the design phase for its new headquarters and emergency dispatch center. Allen voters approved funding for the new facility in the November 2023 bond election. The new headquarters will accommodate and sustain the growth of our police department to meet Allen’s needs both now and in the future.
