Coming Together to Celebrate, to Share, and to Inspire Vickie Thomas, Chairperson Annabella Wright, Co-Chairperson Rev. Dr. Susan H. Buckson, Pastor
Virtual reality provides individual immersive learning perspectives while presenting students with experiences they might not otherwise be able to explore. These experiences can be delivered in the form of a “virtual field trip” – where students are part of a 360-degree landscape by viewing films show with virtual reality cameras – or through immersion within a computer generated environment that takes them to places that are normally unreachable like Outer Space, inside the the Human Body, and ancient or prehistoric times.
We love to see people enjoying the amazing, fun and entertaining worlds that VR enables.
Greetings! Thank you for sharing with us throughout our Women’s Season. What an absolutely wonderful time we have had celebrating, sharing and inspiring people of God throughout our time together. To God be all the Glory! COVID-19 has shifted us in mind, body, and spirit over the past seven months. We have seen God’s hand of love and mercy, but we have also seen what it means to “be still and know that (God) is God.” Rightly so, many have been apprehensive about gathering—but we gathered virtually. Many have been apprehensive about giving—but we gave generously. Many have been isolating—but we connected spiritually. Many have been skeptical—but we trusted intentionally. We did so, because we know that we forever serve a God who is faithful. I am so excited about the leadership of our Women’s Season Chairperson, Sis. Victoria Thomas, who tookthe challenge of moving forward despite the limitations imposed by a global pandemic and recognized that there is nothing too hard for God. Because of her determination, we have transitioned to new levels of engagement using technology. I am equally grateful to our Co-chairperson, Sis. Annabella Wright for her visioning. As the convenor of our Women’s Season Prayer Breakfast, she provided an inspirational gathering that brought women and men of all ages together. To these to phenomenal women and the entire Women’s Season team—Thank you! It is my prayer that beyond this day, we will continue to celebrate, share, and be inspired by the continued blessings of God. I praise God for every step of this journey and I look forward to what more God has in store.

Greetings Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church Family! I greet you today in the Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your 2020 Women’s Day Chairperson. The women of Allen Temple African Methodist Episcopal Church have been a long standing outreach ministry for over 154-years. The women of this great church have served as trailblazers through the decades. As we continue to build a legacy of strong women in faith who are committed to help support the development and achievement of goals for our congregation. We have continued the work by Coming Togther to Celebrate, Share and Inspire to hold our First Virtual Women’s Season. Our focus was to remain in fellowship while those in the state of Georgia and across the globe were sheltering in place as the result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was imperative that we kept our minds focused on God and uplifting our surrounding communities. One of my favorite scriptures is Isaiah 60:4: “Lift up thine eyes round about and see; all they gather themselves together, they come to thee, thy sons shall come on from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.” It is important that we press to keep bringing women, men, boys, and girls together to love and to serve with fortitudeke. Let's keep on keeping on. Throughout this journey it would not have been possible without you. Thank you for your support financially and your heart warming prayers. CLICK HERE

Greetings Allen Temple Family and Friends, It is with the joy of Jesus that I humbly share my reflections of Women’s Day 2020. When I agreed to be the Co-Chair of Women’s Day I never imagined that we would be experiencing it as a Virtual Church. I never could have fathomed the Linen Luncheon or Prayer Breakfast complete with games and prizes online. “But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man – the things which God has prepared for those who love Him(1 Corinthians 2:9).” What a wonderful feast of fellowship God provided for both of these events. Sis. Vicki Thomas is a wonderful leader and it has been my pleasure to serve as her Co-Chair for this Women’s Day. We had many long conversations where we shared and inspired each other along this journey. It is with a song in my heart that we celebrate the Women of Allen today in all their glory. Thank you Pastor Buckson for keeping us on track as we sometimes strayed under these unsual circumstances. Thank you to the entire ministerial staff for your support. Thank you members and friends of Allen Temple who stuck with us as we strived to bring you the best that we had to offer. Finally, beloved I say our time together is not ending but only beginning as I take the reigns as your future Chairperson. I look forward to an unforgettable journey with you. The best is yet to come,
Annabella M. Wright
