MARKET RECAP WITH BOB

2022 was another fantastic year for real estate sales in the Lake Country region! Year over year sales volumes were virtually identical to 2021, but with many market difficulties

Sales volume through Nov ('22) is $1,800,000,000 (or approximately $163,000,000 per month) vs $1,991,000,000 (or $165,000,000 per month) for 2021.

While sales volumes may not reach the 2 Billion dollar threshold again in 2023 given the current market conditions, expectations are for another good year.

You may ask why? There are 3 primary reasons: 1 2 3

The Fed is expected to ease their aggressive move to curb inflation by mid year

Interest rates are expected to recede into the 5.5% range by mid year. Inventory will remain historically low in the lake country area, while demand remains high.

In summary, our local market is very healthy, market conditions will improve in 2023 and we can expect the market to remain healthy, especially in the second half. - Bob Miller
