Setting records

Momentum from our record-breaking billion-dollar year in 2012 is continuing to set the pace in 2013. We’re proud that Allie Beth Allman & Associates significantly contributed to the state’s total residential sales of $49.8 billion, as Texas leads the nation’s housing recovery. This summer, the North Texas housing market was hotter than Texas temperatures. In May, more homes were sold in one month in this market than ever before—up 23% compared to May of 2012. With average sale prices up 10% and average days on the market down 20%, ensuring that our clients benefit from the trends is top-of-mind for our agents every day. It’s not one agent or team that enables Allie Beth Allman & Associates to stay on top, it’s all of our agents performing at their best no matter the size of the transaction. We’ve added more than 30 new agents so far in 2013, and as we approach 400 agents in our single-office firm, the advantages for our clients are tangible. I honestly believe our dedicated agents

Allie Beth Allman & Associates has closed the biggest sales of 2013 in both University Park and Highland Park.

are the best in the business. They have made us the highestgrossing single-office residential real estate firm in Dallas by working closely together, sharing knowledge and connections. A significant factor of the current market is the increasing number of homes we sell before they are even listed on the Multiple Listing Service. The experience level in our office and our close family culture give our clients the advantage when it come to these “hip pocket” sales. You’ll learn more about today’s exciting market throughout this second issue of Allie Beth Allman & Associates Magazine. I want to thank our agents, family, friends, neighbors and clients for making our spring inaugural issue so successful. We’re happy to bring you more stories about your neighbors who shape this company, as well as exciting new happenings around town, practical advice for buying and selling your home, and collections of some of the most notable homes in our market. – Allie Beth Allman, Founder and CEO

A hand-laid stone walk leads to the Romanesque arcade of this classic fivebedroom Spanish Colonial Revival estate on one of Highland Park’s most treasured streets. The main house and guest house of this John Sebastian–built custom home provide nearly 12,000 square feet of gracious living indoors, plus two loggias, a covered terrace, balcony, pool and outdoor spa to enjoy the manicured grounds landscaped by Armstrong-Berger. An imposing arched iron and glass door marks the scale and aura of the entry foyer, with multi-arc passages to the core of the home anchored by a remarkable wood stairway. Left of the entry is an impressive dining room with veranda and garden glass doors and windows casting natural light from every wall, catching the texture of a wood floor patterned with scraped lengths.
