INVESTIGATING OREGON’S EXOTIC PET TRADE NEW!

Did you know that Oregon has an extensive exotic mammal, reptile, and bird trade? You will be introduced to a variety of species taken in as pets that are frequently rescued or confiscated by local and Federal authorities. As part of this course, you will be able to meet some of these animals kept for conservation and educational purposes at the Newport Discovery Zoo. You will learn how to recognize these animals and gain knowledge about permits, licensing, and how to care for them. Students will need to provide their own transportation to and from the zoo. Fee includes access to the Newport Discovery Zoo.
