Gentle, joint-safe exercises developed specifically by the Arthritis Foundation for people with arthritis or musculoskeletal conditions, fibromyalgia, COPD, or anyone who is recovering from injury with limited or impaired joint mobility. This program will help relieve pain and stiffness, strengthen muscles, and improve balance and mobility. Low-impact exercises are done while sitting and/or standing. Led by an Arthritis Foundation certified instructor. This is a face-to-face class being live streamed to a remote audience via Zoom.

Increase strength, flexibility, and reduce stress while learning techniques to calm your mind and soothe your spirit. Learn yoga poses that develop strength, balance, proper breathing, and relaxation. Students will need a yoga mat and blanket.

Yin Yang Slow Flow Yoga blends two styles of yoga into one practice. Yin yoga is slow, calming, and poses are held for a longer period of time which works on the deeper connective tissues and joints in the body. Yang-style yoga develops muscular strength, stamina, and flexibility During each class, we will breathe and move together and conclude with a short reflection on the yama/niyama of the week. Take home resources will be provided for diving deeper and expanding your practice at home.

Yoga postures, or asana, move energy throughout the body facilitating health, strength, and resiliency. This class increases flexibility and mental clarity, eliminates muscular or joint pain, and reduces stress. Begin your journey into the Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), one of the most effective forms of self-defense in the world. Students will start by learning the basic footwork, striking angels, and defensive techniques of the Pekiti-Tirsia Kali System with both single and double sticks. STRENGTH & TONE

Improve your endurance and clear your mind with this workout program designed to tone and strengthen all major muscle groups of the body. Benches, bands, and weights will be utilized for added resistance. Outcomes of the course are to develop total body tone, including strengthening and firming of stomach, legs, hips, thighs, arms, and upper body.

A combination of ballet, stretching, and core work to develop strength, flexibility, and balance. Ballet Core involves ballet exercises at the barre, core strengthening workouts, and stretching, as well as routines in the center to develop a range of skills. The use of light weights throughout the class creates an additional challenge and adds to the goal of achieving a full body workout. No previous dance experience required.

CARDIO DANCE & STRENGTH

Cardio Dance & Strength is a one-hour fitness class that combines the cardio workout, movements and fun of cardio dance, with light weights and full body strength and conditioning movements. Students will follow along with choreographed routines and get a full body and cardio workout.

A detailed look at the art of forensic investigations to include fingerprint processing, crime scene investigations, and an inside look at the “typical day” of a forensic investigator. This course will examine the types of physical evidence located on crime scenes and teach students how investigators properly process said crime scenes. Crystal Lake Cemetery Tour

Established in 1845, Crystal Lake Cemetery is an outdoor museum. Come enjoy the stories of the permanent residents. Learn what is being done to protect and preserve the cemetery, and what the symbols on the gravestones mean. Find out more about the cemetery’s centerpiece, the Civil War Soldier’s statue, that has stood as a sentry for over 100 years. Class will meet at the cemetery.
