Allsteel Products Pty Ltd is able to offer a turnkey Safety Barrier Package, from site assessment to system design and from manufacturing to site installation. Systems include stanchions, rails, kick plates, bends and gates and can be applied in numerous variations – as a single wall mounted hand rail or floor mounted bump rails. Standard Hand Rail and Knee Rail type is used for stairs and ramps, pathways and roof access walkways, step-overs and elevated platforms and for every situation where a safe and comfortable footing is required. Depending on client needs and site specifics, Allsteel Ball Tube Hand Rails can be adapted to create a Multi Rail System from three to six horizontal rails, or as a Balustrade System consisting of Ø12 mm vertical bars at 100 mm centres. Where an architectural image is required, infill panels of safety glass or perforated sheet can be introduced. Projects 1. Eraring Pump Station Highlights The complete steel package, which included the design, modelling, drafting, fabrication and installation of a multi-level pump station covering all structural steel and metalwork. Details To conform to environmental constraints, Eraring Energy required a new atemperating reservoir for the cooling of the process water before release back into Lake Macquarie. The monolithic pump station is 15 metres deep, having 10 x submersible pumps to either fill or empty the reservoir. Allsteel Products supplied and installed all access walkways, stairs, pump supports, submerged steelwork, pipe supports, gratings and hand rails. This large project was proficiently executed which resulted in a successful outcome. 2. Clarence Valley STP Upgrade Highlights The entire steelwork package which covered the structural steel, stainless steel, aluminium and galvanised works to three STP’s in the Clarence Valley on the North Coast of NSW – Clarenza, Grafton and Woodford Island. Details Allsteel Products Pty Ltd were contracted to design, model and detail all facets of steelwork on the project. Coupled with our SolidWorks programme, we were able to seamlessly supply the requirements of the building programme. Although managed from Gosford, there was a dedicated site team that worked all three sites simultaneously which ensured an on-time delivery of a very large project.
DESIGN Allsteel Products Pty Ltd have an in-house CAD drafting team, using SolidWorks for producing conceptual designs, modelling drawings and shop drawings to assist in the execution of any project. This system brings together site measurements, design, client input, architectural issues, site constraints and manufacturing issues into a 3D model, enabling all design issues to be resolved and approved quickly resulting in an efficient execution of the project.
PRODUCTION With over 1,500 square metres of production area, Allsteel Products Pty Ltd is capable of producing multiple and varied projects simultaneously. We employ highly qualified boilermakers, welders and tradesmen to ensure that projects are fabricated to comply with our quality standards. The standard applicable for Galvanising is AS/NZS 4680 – Hot Dip Galvanising (zinc) coatings on fabricated ferrous articles. Where additional safety features are required, Allsteel Ball Tube Hand Rails can be painted or powder coated in Safety Yellow over the galvanised finish.
INSTALLATION Experienced site teams under the supervision of project managers are responsible for the installation of the project. Hand Rails may be installed using different methods of fixing depending on the site requirements, these include: • Base Plate Mounted to concrete or steel structures. • Core drilled and epoxy grouted into concrete. • Core drilled sleeves for removable Hand Rails.
SAFETY To ensure that all tasks are performed under a SWMS, a Site Specific Safety Plan is implemented for every project. Our Safety Systems are continually reviewed and updated.
INSURANCE Allsteel Products Pty Ltd is covered by Public Liability Insurance to $10 million, and a policy to cover the full amount of our liability under the Workers Compensation Act 1987. Certificates of Currency are available for inspection if required.
