malferna 7 stunning contemporary homes in the beautiful village of Astwood Bank

1880 ESTABLISHED

Behind the name of Kendrick Homes lies over a century of craftsmanship, commitment to quality and pride in a job well done. William Kendrick, Black Country man and bricklayer, founded the company in 1880. Soon his reputation for skilled and conscientious work was winning him substantial contracts all over the region. Later, he was joined by his son, who continued to guide the company’s growth after the founder’s death at the ripe old age of ninety-one. Over the years the company has completed many prestigious projects from housing to industrial, hospitals, schools and municipal buildings. Today the fourth and fifth generations of the first William Kendrick continue to guide the company, proud to see the founder’s principles of quality craftsmanship still demonstrated in the work of Kendrick Homes.

An idyllic countryside setting with many local facilities at hand Surrounded by open Worcestershire countryside and with views towards the Malvern Hills, the highly sought after village of Astwood Bank provides an idyllic setting for this exclusive development. Local facilities Astwood Bank provides all essential amenities with a selection of shops, public houses and restaurants close by and in the surrounding villages. The area is a great source for local produce whilst Waitrose, Tesco and Sainsbury’s are all within easy reach. Astwood Bank First School is the nearest primary school, caters for 300 children, and has been given an ofsted rating of ‘Outstanding’ while Ridgeway Middle School is situated just off the Evesham Road with over 400 pupils from the ages of 9-13 (yr5-yr8). Among other well-established schools in the region are Saint Martin’s Girls School in Solihull and also Bromsgrove School. Further afield, there are extensive shopping and entertainment facilities in Birmingham, Solihull and Worcester while just five miles south of Astwood Bank, the historic market town of Alcester boasts a selection of independent boutiques and antique shops.

Historic Locations The surrounding area around Astwood Bank is also home to several historic houses, with both Ragley Hall and Coughton Court just 5 miles away near Alcester. Continue along the A46 and you reach the cultural centre of Stratford-upon-Avon where you can experience the sights and the atmosphere of Shakespeare’s England including, of course, the world famous Royal Shakespeare Company theatre and some classic entertainment. Outdoor Entertainment For those who like to explore the great outdoors, there are plenty of activities to choose from. The Millennium Way walk passes through the village and a short drive south will get you to the Vale of Evesham, a must in the springtime when the fruit blossom is out. The Malvern Hills boast some of the most spectacular views in the Midlands, with routes for both beginners and the more experienced walkers. The Hills divide the Counties of Herefordshire and Worcestershire with the rolling hills and fields of Herefordshire to the West and the flatter plains of the Severn Valley to the East. The entire length of these hills is open to the public and is criss-crossed with about 160km (100 miles) of bridleways

and footpaths. The area also features many springs and fountains as well as a number of old quarries which help form an integral part of the overall landscape. Other activities locally include cricket - the club at Astwood Bank has enjoyed great success in its long history – and golf. It’s just a short drive to Pitcheroak Golf Course near Redditch or you can choose from several others nearby. With tranquil surroundings, all the amenities you could require and shopping and leisure facilities within easy reach, at Astwood Bank you have the best of both worlds making it an ideal place to live.
