MCNERNEY TOURED MANTECA’S FORD-MERCURY DEALERSHIP Phil Waterford held SBA Forum at his dealership Manteca, CA (October 26, 2010) – Phil Waterford, President/Owner of Manteca Ford Mercury and Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) held a joint SBA Forum October 7th, 2010 to discuss the benefit of the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010, signed into law by the president September 27th, 2010. As promised, Congressman Jerry McNerney (CA-11) visited Manteca Ford Mercury. During his visit both men took a tour of the dealership and then met with other local small business owners to discuss the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 which will benefit San Joaquin County businesses. “Congressman McNerney’s good sense approach, strong family values and his understanding of the dynamics of small business provided us a certain and refreshing outlook for the small business entrepreneurs in our Central Valley but especially in our city. Many of my fellow business owners were honored to participate and had the opportunity to ask questions on how this law will benefit their business” said Waterford immediately after the forum, which was attended by more than 10 local business owners. “This law has many benefits including tax credits and access to capital that will ultimately help small businesses continue to provide services and products to our community”, he added. Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford Mercury is affiliated with Ford Motor Company; a company much different than GM and Chrysler which has continued to operate without applying for bailout money from the federal government. Ford continues to strategize their way through the deep recession and tough economic times ahead. Phil Waterford’s Manteca Ford Mercury has mirrored the approach of the parent company operating without any bailout money from the government as well. “The Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 will help small businesses create more jobs, keep doors open for new business and help us keep our commitment to service our community; we must be active participants of our new economy”, concluded Phil Waterford.
