If the idea of a blank slate is overwhelming, a landscaping designer can be an invaluable resource. Their expertise in what will thrive on your land, how plants will develop over time, and how to maintain the garden so it can be enjoyed long into the future, can be an investment that will pay off when selling the property.
For existing gardens, new plants and trees could add a welcome splash of colour, or camouflage an otherwise unsightly part of the property, like concrete retaining walls or areas under construction. Prospective buyers will always be keen to learn the tips and tricks of maintaining the beautiful landscaping, and any unique features that the property’s grounds may have, from a mature mango tree that bears fruit every year, to a rare blossom that scents the whole garden in the evening will be extra appealing. For rental properties, it’s worth considering hiring a gardener to visit to help keep landscaping neat and under control. These can be a hugely appealing selling point to tenants, who may not share the same enthusiasm for maintaining an expansive garden!
