Back by popular demand, Memories of the British Virgin Islands is a vibrant coffee table book by renowned BVI painter and best-selling novelist Jill Tattersall. The book, a reprint of the first edition published in 2014, takes readers on a visual journey through the history and culture of the BVI since 1965, when Jill and her family arrived.
Jill Tattersall was first taught to paint by an elderly great-grandson of John Constable, and was encouraged by her own grandmother, who was the first woman admitted to the Slade School of Fine Art in London. Jill’s paintings have been sold in Europe, Australia, and the Americas.
The reprint of Memories of the British Virgin Islands contains 58 of Jill’s paintings across 140 pages, all in the rich hues of her original watercolours. Each painting is accompanied by one of Jill’s unique memories.
