Information

To obtain discounts, you have to be present and able to show your ID.

In the cable car cabins and the shuttle buses and also in the stations dogs are obligated to wear a muzzle. The Roundtrip Ticket is included in the Skipass.

The Combi Card and the Nordic Pass are not transferable and are available at all cash desks of the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway, at the Tourist Offices of Kastelruth, Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and at some accommodation.

Combi Card:

Kids, born 2017-2021, and people in wheelchairs ride free of charge. Juniors, born 2007-2016 pay only half fare.

Nordic Pass: Juniors, born after 01.01.2009, pay only half fare.

*The Guest Card “Südtirol Guest Pass” from Dolomites region Seiser Alm, which is not available for purchase and is issued free of charge to the guests by the accommodation, includes a price reduction for the Combi Card and for the Nordic Pass.

Bicycle transport

The bicycle transport is charged:

> Single Ticket: 6.00 €,

> Roundtrip Ticket: 12.00 €

The bicycle transport is not included in the Combi Card and in the Nordic Pass.

In the shuttle buses (routes 1, 2, 3, 3A, 5, 15), in the Seiser Alm Express (Bus Route 10) and in the Almbus (Bus Route 11) the transportation of bikes is not allowed.

Closure of the road to the Seiser Alm

The road leading to the Seiser Alm Nature Protection Reserve is closed from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm (exception for guests of facilities located on the Seiser Alm).

GUEST PASS

Guest card

“Südtirol Guest Pass”

The Guest Pass facilitates holidaymakers’ the exploration of the Dolomites region Seiser Alm as well as the wider region of South Tyrol, providing a single-ticket access to all types of public transport, such as train and bus. The South Tyrol Guest Pass is valid for the duration of your stay. The Guest Pass is personal and non-transferable.

New: The Guest Pass is now available only in digital form. You will receive it at check-in directly via email on your smartphone. If desired, the digital guest card can also be printed. With Smart Check-In, you have the option to obtain the Guest Pass before your arrival.

Dogs don’t get the Guest Pass and have to pay the regular fare in the busses of the Public Transport Services. The transfer of dogs in the shuttle busses is free of charge.

The 7,288-hectare nature park was established in 1974 and, together with the regional conservation area of the Seiser Alm, forms a natural unit. The mountainous woodland around Seis am Schlern, Völs am Schlern and Tiers am Rosengarten as well as the Tschamin valley belongs to the nature park. The Rosengarten massif and the Schlern mountain, which give this nature park its name, along with their impressive mountain towers, are also considered one of the landmarks of South Tyrol.

PARKING

There are several car parks/multistorey car parks available to you in all built-up areas. Please note that the parking spaces bordered in blue are subject to a charge. You can get tickets from the appropriate vending machines. All other parking spaces are free of charge, but some are timelimited. There is a spacious free bus and car park at the valley station of the Seiser Alm cable car.

The following tickets are accepted in the Shuttle Buses as a ticket: Combi Card, Nordic Pass, Südtirol Guest Pass and all tickets of the Public Transport Services Südtirol/Alto Adige. For all other passengers:

> One-day-ticket: 4.00 €

> 3-day-ticket: 9.00 €

> 7-day ticket 11.00 €

The Tickets are available at the automatic ticket dispenser, the 1-day ticket is also available at the Tourist Offices Kastelruth and Seis am Schlern. It is not possible to purchase tickets on the shuttle buses. Kids, born 2017-2021, free of charge.

Public Transport Buses

(Routes 170, 172, 176, 177, 179, 185) On public buses all tickets of the Public Transport Services are valid. The tickets are issued on the bus. Also the Guest card “Südtirol Guest Pass” is valid on all public services. Tickets for the ShuttleBuses (1-day, 3-day and 7-day, Combi Card and Nordic Pass) are not accepted on public services. Children (0-5) free of charge.

Seiser Alm Express (Bus Route 10):

Seis > Kastelruth > Seiser Alm

The Seiser Alm Express is included only in the Combi Card and the Nordic Pass. All other tickets are not valid not even the Südtirol Guest Pass. When purchased individually, a round-trip ticket costs 28.50 €. You can purchase tickets directly on the buses. Kids, born 2017-2021, free of charge.

Almbus (Bus Route 11): Compatsch > Ritsch

The Almbus is included only in the Combi Card and in the Nordic Pass. All other tickets also the Südtirol Guest Pass are not valid.

Rates for other passengers:

> Round-trip-ticket: 7.00 €

You can get the one-way as well as the roundtrip ticket from the ticket dispenser at the bus stop in Compatsch or in Saltria and directly in the bus.

Traffic regulation on the Seiser Alm

The road to the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm with the Seiser Alm Aerial Cableway or by bus. You can return from Compatsch at any time. Guests, who have booked an accommodation on the Seiser Alm, have the following special permission to use their cars:

> You can arrive and depart from and to the accommodation you have booked at any time.

> During your stay you can drive from your hotel to Compatsch before 10.00 am and after 5.00 pm. Between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm private traffic is not allowed on the Seiser Alm.

> you will receive your special authorization to use your car either on your arrival at the Info-Point in St. Valentin, in the Seiser Alm Tourist Office or directly from your host.

Ban on driving in village centers

Our village centers are subject to traffic-reducing measures and at certain times there are total bans on traffic. The times when traffic is banned vary according to the season. Please note the appropriate information signs. Parking your caravan overnight outside the camping place is forbidden.

> The card is valid for the entire duration of the guest‘s stay from 00:00 on the day of arrival until 23:59 on the day of departure.

> Children under 6 do not need a ticket.

> Dogs have to pay the regular fare in the public bus services. The transfer of dogs in the shuttlebusses of the Dolomites region Seiser Alm is free of charge. Muzzles are compulsory!

The wintry, snow-covered Seiser Alm is a true paradise for cross-country ski enthusiasts. The seemingly endless wide open spaces, the gently rolling hills, the sunny dells, the forest, and the meadows – and everything against the magnificent backdrop of the towering Dolomites – invite you to explore them on cross-country skis. Cross-country ski enthusiasts can choose from 80 km of courses of different levels of difficulty and different lengths: from just 1.4 kilometres for beginners up to 15,4 kilometres.

Together with Val Gardena, the Seiser Alm forms a cross-country skiing area with approx. 100 km of trails. The Saltria-Monte Pana trail connects the Seiser Alm with Val Gardena, also a paradise for crosscountry skiing fans. All of the cross-country ski courses have double lanes and are prepared for skating. Also the signage is excellent: Thanks to overview maps, which can be found at all important points, cross-country skiers can easily find their way around Europe‘s largest high alpine pasture.

Together with Val Gardena, the Seiser Alm is part of the largest cross-country skiing carousel in Europe, Dolomiti Nordicski, with more than 900 kilometres of trails. You can go cross-country skiing for a long time... and enjoy a varied cross-country skiing holiday in South Tyrol.
