Jaclyn Westlake’s Debut Novel Released
Jacyln Raggio Westlake, Delta Iota—Chico State University, released her debut novel, “Dear Dotty,” this summer. It was also chosen as a Summer Must Read by The Gloss Book Club and First for Women magazine. Learn more about Jaclyn and her writing here.
Colonel Merrily Madero Awarded Bronze Star
Merrily Dente Madero, Zeta Epsilon—Michigan Technological University, is using the problem-solving skills she initially learned as a mechanical engineering student to solve problems around the world. She was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for leading the Military Liaison unit at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan during multiple attacks. She also supported the U.S. Embassy during 53 outside-the-wire missions in 20 different provinces throughout Afghanistan, bringing military support to numerous reconstruction and aid projects.
Michaela Taylor Honored by Kentucky Alumni Association
Michaela Taylor, Epsilon— University of Kentucky received the prestigious Joseph T. Burch Young Alumni Award in June. The award honors young alumni who are active members of the University of Kentucky Alumni Association and currently work on behalf of young people through the university, the association, their club or in the local community. 10 Under 10 Spotlight on Rachel Sholder
Rachel Sholder, Zeta Beta—Lehigh University, made the Lehigh 2024 10 Under 10 list for Mathematics and Statistics. Halle Theno Recognized for Outstanding Service in Education
The University of Central Missouri recently recognized three individuals as part of an ongoing program that exemplifies the institution’s long-standing motto, “Education for Service.” The student winner this year was Halle Theno, Epsilon Lambda–University of Central Missouri.
Troy University Honors Callie Carter as Recipient of the Outstanding Future Educator Award
Callie Carter, Gamma Sigma— Troy University, received the Susan Gibson Vance Outstanding Future Educator award at Troy University. This award recognizes students for their academic achievements, leadership, and service. Read more about Callie here.
Anna Grace Holland Receives Algernon Sydney Sullivan Award
Anna Grace Holland, Gamma Sigma—Troy University received the Sullivan Award last spring. It is presented at select colleges and universities throughout the United States to recognize recipients for their excellence of character, humanitarian service and spiritual qualities. The award has been presented annually to a male student, a female student and one non-student at Troy since 1981. Read more here.

Georgia Tech Member Honored by New Pathway of Progress
Sarbrynn Hudgins, Gamma Phi–Georgia Institute of Technology will be recognized in a forthcoming permanent tribute, the Pathway of Progress: Celebrating Georgia Tech Women. Set for a grand opening in March 2025, the architectural sculpture and accompanying digital experience will celebrate 70 graduates, as well as 98 women and events with historical significance to the Institute.
Mary Beth Friga Wusk Named Alumni Distinguished Citizen Leader
Mary Beth Friga Wusk, Gamma Lambda— Longwood University, received the
