Motoryacht lying Bodrum, Turkey

A distinctive nautical experience M/Y Obsessions is a 38.34m (125’ 9”) vessel with a 7.98m (26’ 2”) beam, capable of 32 knots top speed, custom built by Heesen Yachts of the Netherlands. Heesen was the first Dutch master builder to make aluminium hulls, and has designed and built the four fastest megayachts in the world. Heesen yachts are known for speed, performance and technology, and are built on traditional craftsmanship and style. M/Y Obsessions is one of three Heesen superyachts built especially as “super-sport fishermen”. In addition to superyacht proportions and accomodations, and Heesen performance, these boats have extended lower platforms with fighting chairs, live wells, outriggers, and other special fishing equipment fitted. One unique feature of this superyacht is its custom-built, fully articulated stern boarding ramp. This ramp swings in and out, and up and down, to adapt to any tide, and any pier or quay. Once in place, it remains locked in position, for a more stable boarding experience. When not in use, it folds away along the transom, so as not to interrupt the guests’ view.

Obsessions is managed by a crew of four, including a captain, first mate, deckhand, and stewardess/chef. Although designed and specially outfitted for sportfishing, the rest of the vessel is breathtakingly luxurious, befitting her superyacht status. The principal aspect of her luxury is the high standard of build and overall fitout. The Dutch are widely thought of as the world’s best yacht builders, and Obsessions reinforces this idea. The boat’s sumptuous interiors were designed by Ann Van Der Kamp and Diaship, and materials used were from the house of Gianni Versace. Pure wool carpet cushions your bare feet like clouds, while elegant burl veneer highlights the cabinetry and columns. The designs are richly detailed, and boldly presented. The boat has satellite wi-fi throughout, for seamless connection on the open sea. A mobile telephone is provided, and local and international channels are available on the many TV’s throughout the vessel.
