WELCOME BACK, SOCIAL

While our ambitious social plans for Alpine’s 60th season were disrupted in 2021, we found a silver lining as we saw our members enjoying the property in a new way.
The uptake on activities like tobogganing, snowshoeing, Strava hiking challenges, and skating on the rink was a joy to witness. Truly, our dogs might have had the best winter with extra-long walks as they explored our trails with their families. On the social scene, we held as many virtual/off-site activities as possible, including a snowman challenge, craft contests, hot chocolate bomb kits and the popular après-to-go kits. Once reopened, we experienced consistent bluebird days and we loved seeing our members get out and show their flair on our ‘Spirit Days.’
As we move into 2022, we look forward to reintroducing many of your favourite events, starting with the President’s Family Après on December 31st with live music from member band, Ridin’ the ‘Pine and fireworks at dusk to welcome you back and ring in the new year. On New Year’s Day, leave the cooking to Men with Knives and join us for brunch before hitting the hill. While safety remains our top priority, we are excited to see the clubhouse reopen for dining and bar service, which means we can welcome back the après. Après-to-go kits will continue to be offered for you to enjoy at the clubhouse, on the terrace or to take the après home with you.
We are also excited to be moving forward with Men’s Day on Friday, January 28, and Ladies’ Day on Friday, March 4, which we know are a highlight of the winter for many of you. These events will see an emphasis on outdoor fun and activities as we reclaim our traditions of skiing or riding from the first chair to the last.
Kid’s activities will be back with an outdoor focus: think capture the flag, organized games and parent-supervised tobogganing dates. Take-home craft kits are also underway and don’t forget the Dummy Downhill and Festival Day in March!
We can’t wait to welcome you back and bring ‘social’ back to life at Alpine!
