LAND OF THE LONG WHITE SINGLETRACK “ You’re never alone with a bike. It’s like a magnet: strangers gather round the Sonder like a titanium icebreaker.” After 36 hours of flights and airports it started with a solid 800 metre climb through dense forest, rewarded by a stunning vista over Nelson as the trees gave way to a moonscape spotted with prickly shrubs.
