Alsager Community T r ust/E IP Counsellor Hi, my name is Bev Daniel and I am a full qualified counsellor with considerable experience of working with children within both Primary and Secondary schools. I provide a counselling service for all the students within the Alsager EIP/Trust. I work with children who are experiencing a variety of issues including family breakdown, bullying, friendship problems, self-harm, bereavement, low self-esteem and more. Referrals can be made by school staff, parents or students. There is a weekly ‘Drop-In’ service for students at Alsager School who feel they need a quick chat without the formality of a full counselling session. I also work alongside our EIFSW Kaye Woodcock and we facilitate our Family Matters workshops which provide support and advice for parents who feel they need a friendly likeminded group to help during those sometimes fraught times in their children’s development. These groups are provided for both Primary and Secondary parents and have proved to be popular and extremely useful. Kaye and I also run a termly Parent Support Group where parents from the Family Matters groups can have a catch-up. We usually have a guest speaker at these popular evenings which have included a Drugs Awareness workshop, a meeting with the local PCSO’s, an informative visit from our School Nurse and an e-safety workshop. We are always asking parents to let us know what other evenings they would like us to arrange and welcome any parents who would like to join us. Details of forthcoming evenings and Family Matters workshops will be available on the VLE. If you would like to contact me for further information about any of the above please email b.daniels@alsagerschool.co.uk
