Sixth Form Aims Alsager Sixth Form aims to provide a high quality learning experience, within a supportive and structured environment, in which ‘every student really matters’. We believe that young people will grow in confidence and realise their academic, personal and social goals if: • they feel valued and are allowed to build their self-esteem. • they enjoy their educational and social experience in our Sixth Form. • their learning and personal needs are known and met. • they are allowed to make a positive contribution to sixth form and school life, including teaching and learning. • they understand both their rights and responsibilities within a learning community and society in general. • they are helped to develop as independent learners with appropriate skills, knowledge and personal qualities needed for Higher Education and future employment. • they work in partnership with those trying to support them.

We also aim to develop independent learners who have: • relevant and appropriately high qualifications. • self-confidence. • good communication skills. • effective personal organisation skills- time management, can prioritise work, punctual. • well developed ICT skills. • effective inter-personal skills.
