Entry Requirements A good honours degree in a relevant discipline is normally required. If English is not your first language you must have a level of English equivalent to at least 6.5 on the IELTS scale.
Assessment Assessment takes place against clear criteria and learning outcomes which you will be prepared for. Assessed activities range from formal essay writing and examinations to the preparation of reports, discussion of case studies and critical incidents and the development of research proposals.
Professional links This MA programme maintains strong links with international employers and practitioners that may be utilised by students to enhance their employability skills. In particular, we have longstanding relationships with the NHS (East of England) and Motorola (UK and Belgium), and are in negotiation with the following organisations regarding curricular advice, extracurricular activities and actual contributions to the teaching of our core modules: Bosch (Germany), ProQuest (UK), ARM Holdings (UK), The Police Service (UK), The Prison Service (UK).
Employment prospects The MA Cultures and Organisational Leadership aims to offer further development opportunities for those who intend to seek a career in international business, national organisations with a focus on migration and diaspora, globally oriented cultural and creative industries and/or self-employed consulting, training and mentoring.
The Staff Team: This team comprises senior leaders from a range of culturally diverse private and public institutions as well as distinguished subject specialists in international management, intercultural communication, cultural studies, linguistics, law and leadership theory. Most of our academic staff have very successfully contributed to our University’s recent Research Assessment Exercise 2008 submissions and/or have conducted large-scale research into international organisations funded by the OECD, EEDA, The European Commission and UK Trade and Investment.
