Gershwin in Hollywood Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 8pm Christopher Confessore, conductor Steve Beck, pianist Alys Stephens Center George Gershwin’s time in Hollywood produced captivating arrangements of his popular melodies. Pianist Steve Beck will solo in the delightful Second Rhapsody, which features music from Gershwin’s score for the film Delicious, and the orchestra will luxuriate in music from Shall We Dance and Damsel in Distress, among other tempting tunes!

MOZART: Impresario Overture HUMMEL: Trumpet Concerto MOZART: Symphony No. 36, Linz Escape from the cold with the music of Mozart and Hummel in the intimate Sirote Theatre. Our very own Ryan Beach will perform Hummel’s Trumpet Concerto, which is known as a virtuoso showpiece. Mozart’s Symphony no. 36 was inspired by the warmth and hospitality of the people of Linz that he encountered during the visit.

MOZART: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik STRAUSS: Duet-concertino for Clarinet & Bassoon HAYDN: Symphony No. 104, London Enjoy Mozart’s celebrated Eine Kleine Nachtmusik alongside Strauss’ duetconcertino, which puts our talented principal clarinet and bassoon players in the spotlight. Finally, the concert ends with Haydn’s final symphony, the “London Symphony” which has received acclaim since it debuted in 1795.
