Description Euroroof Contact Adhesive is a solvent based primer, pink in colour. Use For preparation of new and existing substrates, to maximise the adhesion of the self adhesive range of Euroroof membranes. Metals must be grease and oil free. All substrates must be dust and debris free. Suitable for horizontal, sloping and vertical surfaces. Preparing the surface  The material to be bonded must be dry and free from dust and grease.  It is recommended that the materials be allowed to acclimatise for 48 hours at 21°C and a relative humidity of 45 to 55%. Application  Liberally apply a well-distributed layer of adhesive with 80 to 90% coverage.  For larger surfaces, we recommend spraying one surface vertically and the other horizontally.  Do not allow the adhesive to build up at any one spot or to make the surface wet.  A single layer is generally sufficient for most surfaces, depending on the degree of porosity of the material.  For parts under tension it may be necessary to apply an extra layer of adhesive.  Two layers of adhesive are required for more porous surfaces such as plywood and chipboard.  Protect the adhesive against contamination during drying.  Allow the adhesive to dry completely.  Once the adhesive no longer sticks to your fingers, it is ready to be bonded.  After applying both surfaces together, press/roll the surface of the membrane.  The correct distance one needs to keep between the glue gun and the material to be bonded is about  4 to 8 inches. Operation of the canister  The canister is pressurised; no external pressure supply is needed.  Shake well / roll before use.  Open the valve fully, point the gun at a right angle to the material to be bonded, keep the spray gun at the right distance from the surface and spray an even layer of adhesive.  Keep the canister valve open at all times until the canister has to be changed.  Do not disconnect the hose with spray gun unless you are able to mount it immediately onto a new full canister.  After spraying, leave any adhesive residue on the spray gun to harden.  When next used, free up the nozzle by removing the hardened adhesive residue. Do not use any sharp objects for this and never stick anything into the nozzle. Adhesives can be removed with solvent Product Data Packaging
