After retiring from a career in explosives detection, Moose the 7-year-old Lab has become the only dog to be re-trained by Auburn University’s Canine Performance Sciences staff as a therapy dog.
As the newest member of Auburn’s Student Counseling Services staff, “Dr. Moose” is one of only a small handful of certified therapy dogs working at an American university, where he assists students in individual and group counseling sessions.
