Tiffany Price is Ellensburg High School’s new computer sciences teacher.
S h e teaches Introduction to Computer Programming and AP Computer Science Principles. EHS did not have a computer sciences teacher until they hired her.
Price has worked for 20 years in technology. She has held different positions over the years, such as a programmer, database administrator, system administrator, and storage administrator.
Which pretty much means that she was responsible for a lot of technology, and a lot of people counted on her to be able to do her job.
Price has a passion for teaching;
“My key message for students is just to help them understand that regardless of whatever career they choose technology will be part of it.
And to help position themselves in a competitive job market… And help give them the skills they need to succeed,” Price explained.
Outside of the classroom, Price loves endurance sports, (specifically hiking) and is a self proclaimed ‘exercise enthusiast’.
She has actually participated in two marathons and finished both. She’s extremely proud of herself for that.
Price wanted to teach here at EHS because of her family. Her two sons are both in the district. She loves the sense of community that she and her family have here in Ellensburg.
“I am fully committed to this city, and my students,” Price said.
