Álvarez-Díaz & Villalón®, a leading, award-winning architecture and interior design firm in Puerto Rico is seeking interns to collaborate with our team this summer in a professional practice internship at our firm in San Juan for up to 8 weeks!
As an Intern, you will be a member of a thriving team dedicated to finding solutions in sustainable architecture and interior design that enhances people’s experience of the world and improves their lives From sketching & designing, to renderings & site visits, you’ll be a part of a team that values the importance of design and who’s skills, artistry, commitment to social responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work together sets us apart from the rest. We are looking for team players with a positive attitude that are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take on any challenge, big or small.
ELIGIBILITY
This is a unique opportunity for college students in their third or fourth year. This program is open to students currently enrolled in an accredited institution, for a minimum of six semesters; have shown outstanding design performance, with special consideration being given to academic achievement. Architecture students shall be registered for NCARB’s AXP program in order to qualify for the hours of practice.
*Travel & Lodging shall be paid and arranged by participant
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Hand drafting
• Cad Knowledge - basic required
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Proficiency in 3D Modelling and Rendering Software, SketchUp, Lumion
• Proficiency in Graphic Design Software | Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
• Strong Oral and Verbal Communication Skills
• Ability to work in an open office, collaborative teamwork environment
• Revit knowledge preferred
