A MESSAGE FROM OUR TEAM
At AD&V®, we believe that positive impact begins from within. In 2023, our focus remained on fostering a vibrant company culture and nurturing our team members' personal and professional development.
To nurture a thriving work environment, we continued to build upon the strategies initiated over the previous year. Our office expansion allowed us to introduce AD&V® [U] weekly sessions in our AD&V® Classroom. These sessions provided a platform for team members to share their passions and expertise, exploring a wide array of topics –from generative AI to the joy of color theory. It encouraged knowledge sharing and helped us grow as communicators, a crucial skill for effective collaboration.
Our classroom became a hub for industry and non-industry events alike, extending unique learning opportunities to our team. For instance, we hosted a weeklong Real Estate course for University of Notre Dame students, granting our team access to industry leaders and valuable knowledge. Panels on Food Sustainability, Ideas for a Better Puerto Rico, and the Sustainable Development Goals further expanded our horizons and allowed us to broaden our perspectives
One of the year's highlights was hosting an exclusive speaker series, where an ex-governor of Puerto Rico engaged in an inti
intimate panel and Q&A session with our team. This special event brought us closer to the heart of public service leadership and allowed us to learn from real-life experiences.
To provide opportunities to deepen team bonds and camaraderie, we introduced the AD&V® Field Day, an event that left lasting impressions. Dividing our team into red and blue teams, "Team Ketchup" and "The Sharks," we engaged in relays, obstacles, and team-building games, followed by moments of shared laughter and connections. This event was so well-received that it will now become an annual tradition.
Our commitment to health and wellness continued to flourish with AD&V® Workouts. Yoga classes held on our terrace became a weekly ritual, offering team members a chance to invest in their well-being. Additionally, a team member's initiative led to a weekly workout class, enabling a more active lifestyle for those interested. These initiatives, encouraged and made more accessible through our health and wellness allowances, remind us of the importance of a healthy work-life balance.
We organized the AD&V® Earth Month Thrift Shop and Green Carpet event to pursue more sustainability awareness. This unique initiative educated our team on the
perils of fast fashion and promoted more sustainable practices. By swapping merchandise for community service commitments, we made sustainability accessible and fun. The positive feedback we received reinforced our commitment to repeat this initiative in the years to come.
We also revamped our Onboarding Program, providing comprehensive support and training to new team members. This program ensures a seamless integration into our team and sets our new colleagues up for success. The feedback from our new team members who benefited from the month-long onboarding program has been overwhelmingly positive.
As we look back on the year, we see a journey of growth, learning, and camaraderie. Our team's development is integral to our collective success, and together, we continue to positively impact people's lives, starting with ourselves. We also invite you to commit to growth and development because, at AD&V®, we believe that investing in our team's potential is the first step towards creating a better world.
Thank you for being a part of our growth year, and we look forward to the exciting journey ahead.

2023 IMPACT REPORT
In the mosaic of the 21st century, when the world confronts monumental challenges and embraces unparalleled opportunities, sustainability emerges as the guiding principle for our collective journey. It is a principle that extends its arms to encompass the entirety of our existence on this planet a planet grappling with disparities in opportunities and wealth, gender inequities, and the relentless depletion of natural resources. Although formidable and overwhelming, these challenges are met with a chorus of possibilities that beckon us toward transformative change.
As a unifying framework, sustainability lies at the heart of our response to this intricate, interconnected world. At its core, sustainability signifies the delicate dance of humanity with the Earth we call home. It is a multifaceted endeavor that transcends environmental considerations, encompassing the pillars of social equity, economic resilience, and responsible governance.
In this annual Impact Report, we delve deep into the narratives and data that underscore the ripple effects of our actions. It is within these pages that we bear witness to the tangible outcomes of our endeavors whether we are individuals, organizations, or part of a global community.
Our stories are intertwined, reflecting our collective responsibility in shaping the future.
One profound facet of this narrative is Small and Mediumsized Enterprises (SMEs) play a pivotal role in sustainability. SMEs are the lifeblood of economies, often serving as the backbone of local communities and global supply chains. Their significance extends beyond size; it lies in their agility, innovation, and capacity to enact change swiftly.
As SMEs navigate the uncharted waters of 2023, they bear the weight of a dual responsibility. We must all steer our operations towards greater sustainability while contributing to broader global efforts. The choices we make have the potential to not only shape our destiny but also influence the trajectory of entire industries and regions.
In the following pages, we invite you to accompany us on another chapter of our sustainability journey, bearing in mind our role as an SME in Puerto Rico. Together, we can navigate the currents of change, illuminate the path forward, and harness the power of collective action. In sustainability, we find a way forward and a promise of a world where humanity and the planet thrive.
