Travel Tips

Tip 1 Alert your

credit card company of your travels. This should be done before leaving and should be a number one priority. You do not want your card to get canceled while you are traveling.

Travel Tips

Tip 2 Book early for

a cheap flight, and try sites like Sky Scanner or Hopper for even cheaper flights. Plane tickets can be expensive, but this tip should help cut down the price. For example, I flew from Gothenburg, Sweden to Barcelona, Spain for 15 American dollars last October throught the app Sky Scanner.

Tip 3

Make photo copies of important documents. When traveling things can be lost or stolen, so it is a good idea to have copies or electronic versions of important documents. Such as a copy of your passport cover page, flight information, tickets to events, or other travel documents.

Travel Tips

Tip 4 Bring a change of clothes, and a few essentials in your carry on.

Checked luggage can be lost, and if you do not have a change of clothes and a couple of essentials it will be a rough couple of days. Traveling is supposed to be a good experience so be prepared just in case.

Travel Tips

Tip 5Respect and get to know other customs while traveling abroad.

Every culture has different social norms, and it is good to know these before traveling to their countries. Just add this step to your travel research. While looking for the best restaurants and places to see, get to know the customs of where you are visiting.

Tip 6

Leave room to be sponaneous. When you arrive at your destination, you might see an advertisement for a festival or a show that’s happening during your visit. If you over plan yourself, you will not have time for potential adventures. I like to leave a half-day to a full day of free time depending on how long I will be at that location.

Travel Tips

Tip7 Be flexible and

have fun. Flights can be de-

layed or canceled, it could rain, or other complications can happen. It is apart of traveling to know that things might happen, and to just roll with it. Have fun. Do not stress about the things you can not control. I have had plenty of delayed flights, but by the end of the trip, I had no negative feelings towards them. Just enjoy, explore and try something new with a positive attitude, and you’ll be so happy you did. 16
