WHAT IS KEY CLUB? Key Club /kē/ ∙ /kləb/ - A student-led organization whose goal is to teach leadership through serving others.
So… What is Key Club? NOT a club that makes keys! In fact, it is the world’s largest and oldest community service organization, with over 250,000 members worldwide. Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. Key Club assists Kiwanis in carrying out its mission to serve the children of the world. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.
Don’t forget that when you’re involved with serving the community, relationships are key. When you form relationships within your community, it helps you by relating to others needs. When you understand how others need your help, you will become a better server for the world.
