I am using a scientific appeal for this design. The water is made from h20 and c02, which both occur naturally, and can be found on the periodic table. The mother and child could be drawn to this design because of the periodic table - as a child, being able to show off what you learn at school is exciting. The mother enjoys her child learning and wanting to show his intelligence. The art student could just be drawn to the botanical illustration and the contrasting aesthetic. The older couple could be interested in the botanical illustration because it makes them think of their garden.
