Golf de la Bresse
Located just an hour from Lyon and Geneva is Bourg-en-Bresse, a small, charming commune in the Rhône-Alpes region. The 18-hole course stretches across more than 220 acres of unspoiled nature. Designed by the renowned French architect Jeremy Pern, one of Europe’s leading golf course architects, the Bresse golf course is set in a tranquil rural setting, surrounded by forest and agricultural land. The relatively flat course makes good use of the natural terrain, with alternating open and wooded areas and various water hazards, particularly at the 11th and 12th holes. Trees increase the challenges on the second nine-hole loop, particularly on the par-5 18th with its lovely avenue of large oaks. Golfers enjoy this tranquil course with its rural charm, as well as meeting the challenge of the course.
Golf de Beaune Levernois
The Beaune golf course was designed in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards, in a tranquil and verdent environment. A technical course complete with 9 lakes and white sand bunkers both challenge and delight. This course is reserved for all levels and is popular with golfers of every variety.
Golf de la Grande Motte
Featuring its characteristic pyramid-shaped buildings situated near the coastal town of the same name, this club is located on the Western edge of the Camargue region in Southern France. This championship course was established in 1987, and was designed by the highly respected and prolific English-American architect Robert Trent Jones Sr. No less than 42 holes await visitors to the estate, which stretches over 220 acres, and features lovely umbrella pines, poplars and extensive water bodies. The 18-hole Flamants Roses (Pink Flamingo) course extends over fairly flat and open terrain, which has been expertly molded to provide a Florida-style seaside golf course feel with plenty of water hazards. In addition to the Flamants
Roses course, the club houses the par-58 Goelands course and the 9-hole Mouettes course.
Golf de Servanes
At the foothill of the Alpilles mountains in southern France, the Golf de Servanes club, which opened in 1989, nestles against white cliffs and is redolent with the perfume of Provencal thyme and lavender. It is located only 10 minutes away from the medieval village Les Baux-de-Provence, built around a fortified rocky site, and Saint Remy-de-Provence, where Van Gogh painted his “Starry Night”. Architects Thierry Sprecher and Gery Watine took full advantage of the natural features of the region to create a scenic golf course snaking around the rocky hills of the Alpilles, with a mix of parkland and woodland areas. The 18-hole course features hilly fairways, olive groves, lakes, and two huge, island greens. This golfing jewel of the Provence will delight and challenge players of all handicap levels. This sunshine-drenched course with its unforgettable scenery will soon become a favorite!
Golf Domaine de la Valdaine (Optional)
The golf club has an idyllic location in the heart of the Drôme Provençale region with its famous lavender fields, only 5km from the town of Montélimar, the “home of nougat.” The Valdaine estate, which extends over more than 185 acres of lush greenery, has been landscaped around the two towers of the Château du Monard, which is now a hotel. The 18-hole course was designed by the English architect Tom McAuley, and opened in 1989. He cunningly integrated a stream and other water hazards into the course, along with relatively small greens, requiring dexterity and precise shots from golfers. Sharpen your skills on the driving range (22 tees, 12 of which are covered), as well as on the putting greens and practice bunkers. Players of all levels can test themselves on the

Golf Cruise on the Seine
8 day cruise starting from $4,655 USD per person PARIS — PARIS
Aigle Course of Le Golf National
Situated near the renowned Palace of Versailles and just 15 miles away from the Eiffel Tower, this is a club no golf enthusiast should miss. Le Golf National is the home of the French Open and hosted the Ryder Cup in 2018. The club was created to be the permanent home of the French Open, and was inaugurated in 1990. Golf architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert von Hagge transformed the initially flat landscape into one of France’s most popular and iconic golfing destinations. Le Golf National’s 18hole Aigle course has a traditional links style feel to it, and features undulating fairways, meticulously manicured greens and flowing roughs. While the course does not have many of the typical lake water hazards or bunkers, the contoured fairways can be deceptive and the course is sure to offer challenges for golfers of all handicap levels.
Champ de Bataille Golf Club (optional)
Located on the grounds of the Château du Champ de Bataille, a castle in Upper Normandy in France, this woodland championship course is set in an exceptional natural and historical environment. It was designed in 1990 by the American architect Robin Nelson, and the French landscape gardener Thierry Huau, who was responsible for ensuring that the natural beauty of the area was retained. Ranked among the top 25 finest golf courses in France, the Champ de Bataille course stretches across 370 acres of historic forest and parkland. The course was designed to follow the natural valleys and water hazards of the estate; featuring centuries-old trees, lakes and impressive clusters of rhododendrons. The narrow woodland course and the natural water hazards require skill and concentration, offering golfers plenty of technical challenges. The natural beauty of the course is breathtaking, particularly when the rhododendrons are in full bloom!
Golf d'Étretat
Set above the cliffs of Étretat with a stunning view of the English Channel, the magnificent wave-cut arches of the famous cliffs, and the charming village below, the Étretat Golf Club is considered one of the three best French seaside golf courses. The club, which is over 100 years old, was founded in 1908 with Bernard Forbes, 8th Earl of Granard as the first club president. The original 13-hole course was designed by Julien Chantepie and Arnaud Massy (the only Frenchman to have won the Open). The club closed during WWII, but reopened in 1949, after the landmines had been cleared, making it safe to golf once more. Didier Fruchet revised the layout in the 1990s and today the resort extends over 3.5 miles. The 18-hole course will test every facet of players’ games, particularly with the exciting sequence of holes at the back nine, between the 10th and the 14th, where the fairways run along the cliff's edge with the English Channel below.
Barrière de Deauville Golf Club
Located on the heights of Mont Canisy, just outside Deauville, the Barrière de Deauville Golf Club which opened in 1929 is considered one of the most beautiful golf courses in France. Its three 9-hole courses, features a mix of tree-lined and open parkland holes, stretching across rolling terrain, were designed by architects Tom Simpson and Henry Cotton. This is a genuine championship course which has hosted the French Open, the Ebel Match Play and the Air France Madame, as well as players such as Gary Player, Tony Jacklin and Peter Fowler. It offers stunning views of the sea and the surrounding Normandy countryside, while presenting technical challenges that will test even experienced players, particularly on Cotton’s Bleu course, with par 36, which is characterized by its green speed and many bunkers. Simpson’s 9-hole Rouge course fits well with the 9-hole Blanc course, as well as the additional Bleu course. From the Blanc course, usually played as the backnine of the 18, golfers can enjoy stunning views over Deauville.
Albatros Course of Le Golf National
The Golf National complex, founded in 1985, is situated southwest of Paris in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, near the Palace of Versailles. Designed by architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert von Hagge as a permanent home for the French Open, Le Golf National features the championship Albatros course, which is considered one of the best in Europe. Extensive renovations have taken place since it was chosen as the host venue for the Ryder Cup 2018. Players can expect a course that offers plenty of risk/reward situations, with undulating fairways and links-style bunkers, and can look forward to the challenging water hazards that surround the final four holes. The Albatros course masterfully combines a traditional links feel with the modern features of target golf.

Pannonia Golf & Country Club
The Pannonia Golf and Country Club is picturesquely situated in a valley bordering the Etyek wine region, east of the Hungarian capital Budapest. The 18-hole championship course was designed by the prominent Austrian architect Hans G. Erhardt and opened in 1996. Since then, it has staged many national and international events, including tournaments such as the BMW Golf Cup International and events sanctioned by the European Golf Association (EGA). The elegant clubhouse was designed by the famous Hungarian neoclassical architect, Mihály Pollack, and blends beautifully with the wine-growing scenery. On the course, idyllic lakes serve as obstacles for eight holes. Doglegs provide suspense at holes 9 and 11, and pin placements may also present a challenge at the hilly greens. The immaculately maintained course meets the highest European standards, and offers players both a technically challenging, as well as an optically appealing experience with its combination of beautiful vegetation, water hazards and sand bunkers.
Penati Golf Resort
The Penati Golf Resort is nestled in the Zahorie region of western Slovakia, not far from the town of Senica. The club offers two 18-hole courses – the challenging Legend course, which opened in 2012, and the Heritage course, which opened in 2013. The Legend course stretches over 235 acres and was created by Nicklaus Designs, a company founded by golfing legend Jack Nicklaus and considered one of the world’s leading golf course design firms, with 60% of the world’s PGA tournament-hosting golf courses to their name. This course offers golfers undulating fairways, challenging bunkers and variable teeing placements, allowing golfers to control the difficulty level of their game. The signature holes of the Legend course are the 783-yard 15th hole, which is the longest hole in Europe; as well as the final hole, which is the narrowest hole on the green and plays onto a beautiful island green, and will undoubtedly provide an exciting finish to the game. The second 18-hole course, the Heritage course, was designed by Jonathan Davison, and the world-renowned Mick McShane and returns to the roots of island-design courses.
Fontana Golf Club
Fontana Golf Club’s championship course promises an unforgettable golfing experience. Situated about 19 miles south of Vienna, the golf course is set in a lush natural setting and offers a view of the Schneeberg, the highest mountain in Lower Austria, and the foothills of the Viennese Forest. Conceptualized by the well-known Canadian architect Doug Carrick, the layout and design of the golf course provides players with a top-class, international golfing experience that is both challenging and fair. The course opened for play in 1996, and from 2006 to 2009, hosted the European Tour in Austria, and has since been considered one of the best golfing locations in Austria and Europe. Due to constant improvements and renovation, the Fontana course is expected to become one of the top 10 golf courses in Europe. The exciting 18-hole course will challenge players with its numerous bunkers and water hazards, combined with some easier holes to give a satisfying, well-rounded experience.
Lengenfeld Golf Club (optional)
The Lengenfeld Golf Club is picturesquely situated in a UNESCO World Cultural Landscape in Lower Austria, just a 10-minute drive from Krems. It offers an unforgettable golfing experience amongst the terraced vineyard landscapes with beautiful scenic views onto romantic forests and the Kamp Valley. The club, founded in 1993 by Otmar Gschwantner and expanded in 2007, lives up to its motto 'golf at its finest'. This 36-hole golf course is divided into the 18-hole Kamptal course with par 71 and the 18-hole Donauland course with par 72. While the hilly terrain and many water hazards of the Kamptal course allow long tees, the Donauland course presents a more athletic challenge with its slanted areas and narrow first 9 fairways. A specialty at Lengenfeld Golf Club is the Golf Vinarium. Each tee is assigned an Austrian grape wine variety, turning the course into an educational wine trail that ends at the clubhouse. The practice area offers golfers a driving range with 40 range tees, practice bunkers and a putt and pitch area.
Quellness Golf Resort/Beckenbauer Golf Course
Beautifully situated in the peaceful Bavarian countryside, the Quellness Golf Resort features the distinguished 18-hectar Beckenbauer Golf Course, a championship course designed by renowned golfer Bernhard Lange. This exclusive course is one of the select few to host PGA European Tour events, specifically the Challenge Tour, which was held here from 2013 to 2015. In addition, in 2015 and 2016, the Beckenbauer Golf Course hosted the Porsche European Open, and in 2017, it was the venue for the Paul Lawrie Matchplay. The course has been praised by some of the world’s foremost players for its technical challenges as well as its impeccable condition. The flat but varied terrain incorporates a multitude of water hazards, such as streams, flood plains, and lakes, and requires golfers to play a precise game. Holes 9 and 18 provide the opportunity for particularly spectacular shots onto island greens. The hand-mown greens and fairways remain in top condition even in the height of summer.
Regensburg Golf Club (optional)
Situated at the foothills of the majestic Bavarian Forest, the Regensburg Golf and Country Club is a truly princely estate, complete with a clubhouse dating back to 1885, which was a former hunting lodge of the Counts of Thurn and Taxis. The Regensburg Golf Club first opened in 1966 with a temporary, 4-hole course. In 1968, famous golf architect Donald Harradine designed a 9-hole course, which he extended by another 9 holes in 1981. In 2000, the course was modernized by Thomas Himmel, who ensured that it meets modern playing requirements. However, the course’s distinctive English parkland character, which it retains, is the work of Harradine. The grounds boast trees of up to 300 years old and offer spectacular views of the Danube valley. The undulating terrain and the water hazards present both a challenge to players as well as a feast of natural beauty. Among the club’s achievements is its membership as one of the Leading Golf Courses of Germany.

It is listed as one of the top 5 golf courses in France, as well as one of the 15 best courses in continental Europe by the Rolex World’s Top 1000 Golf Courses guide. American architect Robert von Hagge designed this 18-hole course, which opened in 1990. Hundred-year-old oak, poplar and beech trees line this beautiful and challenging course, which features 13 water hazards, undulating fairways, large bunkers and immaculate greens. As you reach the 18th hole, see enchanting views of the Château-Hôtel, built in 1865 by Jean de Dartein, who was inspired by Gaudi’s style, as well as the 19th century hunting lodge, which now serves as the clubhouse. Test every aspect of your game with this topquality golf course, while enjoying the relaxing setting.
Golf Club St. Leon-Rot
Opened in 1997, the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, near Heidelberg, sets a benchmark for golf clubs. The vast complex, masterminded by the founder Dietmar Hopp boasts two 18-hole championship courses, a 9-hole executive course, and a children’s course. The English golf course architect, Dave Thomas, designed the St. Leon course as a links-style course, reminiscent of Scottish or Irish golf courses. The course became famous in 2002, when the world’s number one player, Tiger Woods, won his third Deutsche Bank SAP Open there. The Rot course was designed by architect Hannes Schreiner, who retained much of the original river wetland, ensuring that the course offers not only charming scenery but also presents special challenges. The island green of the Rot course and the island fairway of the St. Leon course, are the signature holes of the club. The St. Leon-Rot Golf Club is one of the “Leading Golf Courses in Germany” as well as one of the “European Tour Destinations” (since 2012).
