“Future of Government Smart Toolbox” Launched By WEF

“Future of Government Smart Toolbox” Launched By WEF World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Agenda Council, in partnership with Government Summit, has launched “Future of Government Smart Toolbox” report. It will help governments intelligently use technology to improve trust with customers while delivering efficient public services. The Smart Toolbox will help the UAE Government realign its focus on areas such as Innovation, Anti-Corruption, Delivery of Services, Leadership and Trust.

UAE Minister of Cabinet Affairs, His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi talked about UAE Government’s continuous hard work to make technology the hallmark of all public services offered, saying, “The UAE government has embraced innovation and set high benchmarks in government efficiency and trust. We are happy that the Government Summit partnership with WEF has led to a tangible and positive outcome as the Smart Toolbox, which takes trust in government as a unifying theme. It also highlights the role of the Government Summit as an international platform to enhance the future of government administration around the world.”

The report discusses role of governments in an ever changing world with so many customers to provide service to. Therefore, governments need to continuously evolve by finding new technologies which would help provide cost effective yet creative solutions to the problems faced by their citizens.

This new initiative is a testament to the commitment that UAE Government has exhibited in improving customer service for citizens by deploying new technologies and building capacity to serve more people.
