Is IPL a reality Show? Staff Reporter|KOCHI Do you feel IPL is a reality show? KCA President T R balakrishnan talking to the CE news, responded to this question. Cricket is a game of love and as far as IPL is concerned it is a franchisee game which has different set of owners who spend money on the players, so they expect a return. IPL is a last moment result gaining game if you take any of the played matches you can see that, if one takes a sixer in one ball and in other ball he may be duck no predictions can be done at any moment. The some may have a feeling it to be a reality show
but it is not at all a reality show. “I don’t think , it is a game to fool people” . The People has responded to IPL in a right way as it is their game , the evidence is that the ground is full of spectators this time. Doubts will be there as pros & cons, that are all the anti incumbent activities. Corruption has nothing to do with this IPL because it is all about a franchise game where lots of sponsors are there. The cricket when compared to the other games , it has lengthier intervals which thereby
given a market value for the game and BCCI has got the way to get enough money when it is been telecasted through channels. This time sony has taken it from Neo Sports for about 40 crores though there where bad performance by India after the world cup , these all factors are clear enough that cricket has a good market in India and people has a greater interests to watch the games and support the players. BCCI is helping the old players through the IPL and for that around 70 crores have been
collected. IPL is not in our hands; unfortunately we missed this time due to some understanding problems between BCCI & IPL Franchise. But next time IPL will surely perform in kerala. IPL is an opportunity for upcoming stars who looking forward to show their talents.IPL is a great thought of BCCI and kerala is ever thankful to BCCI for giving a fine support. Now we can see a lot of IPL stars like Rehane , Agarwal etc who has been successful in exhibiting talents.
Sachin Tendulkar recently in sworn in as MP of Rajyasabha and was named as one of the 12 presidential nominees for Rajya Sabha membership that is reserved for those persons “having special knowledge or practical experience in respect of such matters as literature, science, art and social service”. After the oath while interacting with media Tendulkar said , his cricket career would remain the highest priority and as an MP he would look to improve not just cricket but other sports as well. “I think I’m in a better position, not only to help cricket but also other sports in the country which is really important, it means a lot to me,” he said. “I’d be happy if I’m remembered as someone who has contributed to all sports in India rather than just my cricket statistics”

In an interview to CE News,Shri T R Balakrishnan President of KCA has shared some views regarding the present development phase of KCA. When I took charge in the year 2007, then onwards we were taking necessary steps to overcome the grass root level difficulties for the right candidate to pitch into the cricket. As a part of development phase, KCA has arrived at MoUs with many of the aided and unaided colleges to utilize their grounds for budding cricketers. In almost all districts of Kerala KCA has been tied with one or the other ; the latest news is that Kasargod happens to get an
opportunity to be part of this development. In ernamkulam itself it has more than 3-4 tie up grounds which are very good when compared
to other states. KCA is practicing tough cricket practice starting from school levels to select the best choice. Previously there were less opportunities and selection was just a namesake , now it has been changed with lot of infrastructure and also people has wider mind. He says that no theoretical knowledge can win, only by proper practice one can come to the first position. He also added that Sreesanth is one of the world’s best bowler and nobody has a dislike when it comes to Dhoni, Sewag or Rahul etc.

Prithvi to step in Bollywood
Prithviraj is making his Bollywood debut as the main lead in Aiyaa opposite Rani Mukerji.The film directed by Sachin Kundalkar and produced by Anurak Kashyap will start rolling in Mumbai from October first week.Prithviraj will be playing a Tamil guy who speaks Hindi with a thick south Indian accent.Aiyaa becomes the First hindi film from national Award winning Marathi director Sachin Kundalkar.
