In my professional career, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects, both commercial and residential. My residential work custom cabinetry design, while my commercial projects have explore a range of spaces, from offices to public environment about creating designs that are not only aesthetically pleasing functional and tailored to the specific needs of each space.
ACCESS DESTINATION
A vibrant and functional office space designed for Access Destination in San Diego to reflect their dynamic brand identity and accommodate their growing company. The project focused on creating a cohesive aesthetic throughout the shared offices, private offices, touchdown spaces, cubicle workstations, a huddle room, and a flexible-use conference/training room. With the company transitioning from a work-from-home policy to an in-office environment, the goal was to create a space that was comfortable, inviting, and enjoyable for employees to work and collaborate in.
Key Features:
Designed layouts for various workspace types, including private and shared offices, collaborative areas, and multi-functional rooms.
Integrated HON furniture systems to ensure functionality, comfort, and durability.
Focused on achieving a cohesive and unified aesthetic throughout the space, ensuring all elements worked harmoniously together.
Coordinated with the out-of-state client to gather necessary information efficiently and worked closely with vendors to ensure accurate installation and project success.
Outcome: Delivered a functional and visually cohesive office design that maximized space for the client’s growing team while enhancing collaboration, promoting employee comfort, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
LIGHTPATH
A modern office space designed for Lightpath’s New Jersey location, tailored to reflect their brand identity and meet their operational needs. This project laid the groundwork for future office designs, as we created standard documents detailing preferred products, finishes, and design elements for consistency across multiple locations.
Key Features:
Optimized the layout to maximize the number of workstations while maintaining a comfortable and functional environment.
Designed distinct areas, including entry/reception, conference room, break room, collaborative spaces, huddle room, private offices, and workstation cubicles.
Incorporated Lightpath’s brand colors, using yellow accents throughout the space to align with their logo and reinforce their identity.
Developed a cohesive design standard for future projects, ensuring consistency and efficiency in future office rollouts.
Collaborated closely with the client to gather feedback and refine design solutions for their growing team.
Outcome: Delivered a vibrant and functional office space that supported collaboration, reflected the company’s brand, and provided a template for designing their other office locations, streamlining future expansion efforts.
ADELANTE
A bold and dynamic proposal for Adelante, a non-profit committed to fostering local entrepreneurship by providing essential training and resources for startups. Although this project did not proceed due to budget constraints, we provided a comprehensive proposal and design package tailored to their unique mission and vision.
Key Features:
Designed flexible learning areas, including commercial kitchen spaces for hands-on training and workshops.
Created private offices, a conference room, a media room, and an outdoor patio to support diverse activities and collaboration.
Incorporated a bright, vibrant color palette inspired by the Hispanic community, reflecting Adelante’s cultural roots and mission to uplift their community.
Focused on creating a welcoming and inspiring environment to foster creativity and growth for startups.
Delivered a full proposal and FF&E package, including detailed layouts, renderings, and product specifications.
Outcome: Although the project was not realized, the design package was praised for its creativity and alignment with Adelante’s goals, showcasing a thoughtful approach to space planning and community-focused design.
RYAN IMMIGRATION
A thoughtful and sophisticated office design envisioned for Ryan Immigration, a firm dedicated to handling sensitive immigration cases. Although this project did not move forward due to circumstances outside the client’s control, we developed a comprehensive design package that balanced high-end aesthetics with a welcoming atmosphere on a tight budget.
Key Features:
Designed a reception and waiting area with lounge seating, a snack bar, and durable, child-friendly furniture to create a comfortable and inviting space for clients of all ages.
Developed layouts for a conference room where most client interactions would occur, ensuring privacy and a professional atmosphere.
Planned shared office spaces, private meeting rooms, and a break room to maximize functionality and comfort for employees, including dedicated phone booths to ensure privacy for sensitive client calls.
Focused on incorporating calming design elements to help clients feel at ease while maintaining a refined and polished aesthetic.
Delivered a detailed design package with layouts, renderings, and product specifications tailored to meet the client’s budget and vision.
Outcome: While the project was not realized, the design package demonstrated a thoughtful approach to creating a high-end, welcoming environment that aligned with Ryan Immigration’s mission and client-focused values.
