...”there’s this innate desire within me to see the world, to experience god’s creation in all it’s forms...”
a trip of a lifetime and it’s happening... i have been serving as a volunteer with Youth with a Mission for over four years now and i have to say that it never, NEVER gets old. god continues to surprise me and show himself faithful day after day. god has created each and every one of us with a destiny and a purpose and daily he reveals more of what that looks like for my life. you see
I need you...
there’s this innate desire within me to see the world, to experience god’s creation in all it’s forms and to serve in many, many different nations and cultures. on the 6th of june i am flying to europe, of course to see my parents and spend time with my brother and his girlfriend, but also to taste, touch, see and soak in as much as i can of the culture. of course i will miss australia and this home i have found while i’m gone, but i just cannot wait to travel.
destinations… *sydney to paris *paris to germany *germany to many other destinations within europe *germany to vancouver to celebrate my quarter century birthday...yes 25! *vancouver to sydney
as i mentioned in my march update i am going to be co-leading the july dts (discipleship training school) that our ministry is running this year. i am so excited and absolutely cannot wait for this season to begin, but we need your prayer! currently there are 10 students accepted for the school, we are praying for 30. so in the next 8 weeks we need to see god move. you’re prayers are effective...please join with us.
he’s listening...
i’m going to assume that most of you would agree with me when i say that prayer works. i’m sure at one point or another in each of your walks with god you have asked him for something, a miracle, a need, a desire and you have seen his hand move. well this past year i had been praying for a place that i could call home. i was living in a house
with 8 other girls up until just last month when a miracle happened. a young married couple here at the base moved out of their two bedroom flat leaving it wide open for new tenants. to be honest i had started to become a bit frustrated with the lord at the length of time i thought it was taking for him to answer my prayer (silly little me, god’s
timing is perfect) that i had basically given up hope that it would happen. but when jared and rebekah moved out leadership approached me about taking on the flat. what an answer to prayer! so just last month myself and 3 other girls (some of my very dear friends) moved in and been nesting and setting up home since.
