when one chooses to open their eyes to the things surrounding, one needs to be prepared for what they may see. i know when i chose to open my eyes i wasn’t quite prepared and i now wonder if we ever really can be. there are so many things going on in our world, so many people that are screaming for help but no sound is heard. they are “voiceless”. there are those that find themselves in many situations such as abuse, prostitution, child pornography, so many struggling with AIDS or FGM and so much more. the thing is that in the midst of all that is going on around us, i believe with my whole heart that there is HOPE. we can be the answer, we can be the response to their hearts cry. ultimately god is the answer. he is the reason i live, the reason i love, the reason i choose to wake up everyday and live this crazy life he has given me. It really is a journey, taking each day as it comes and choosing to be a “voice” for those that aren’t being heard. how that looks i'm still learning...
