A GORGEOUS DAY IN CAPE GRECO DAY TRIP

Not too far from the hustle and bustle of central Ayia Napa, is Cape Greco, a gorgeous natural haven, boasting rugged shorelines and spectacular sea caves, with the rocky headland laced with sandy coves that really are the things that dreams are made of. There’s signposted nature trails weaving through the area. Agioi Anargyroi: Thalassines Spilies (Sea Caves) – starts off at the white washed chapel of Agioi Anargyroi and takes you all along the coast and the spectacular sea caves, as you pass by the ‘Kamara tou Koraka’ natural bridge. The walk will take you about an hour and a half to complete, while the short circular Aphrodite trail (about 3km long) also makes for a great walk, taking you along the magnificent coast.

AYII ANARGYRI CHAPEL

This gorgeous whitewashed chapel claims pride of place as one of the few buildings in the park. Its location makes it ideal for couples who choose to wed here. When you’ve had a look at the chapel, walk down the steps to the sea and into a cave that used to be a shelter for fishermen and where holy water is said to run.

‘KAMARA TOU KORAKA’ BRIDGE

Home to one of the most stunning natural bridges on the island, ‘Kamara tou Koraka’ is a real natural masterpiece, and the area around the bridge is one of the most popular spots in the National Park for picture taking and romantic walks.

HOW TO FIND IT: Ammos Kambouri Beach is located a little east of Ayia Napa. Drive along Kryou Nerou Street to the Cape Cavo Greco. After the Amante Beach café you need to take first turn right on salted road that will lead to the beach (there is a signpost). There is also a small unpaved car park. You can reach Ammos Kambouri on foot with little effort. Along the coast the tourist trail leads to the beach.
