My name is Angie, I run Fatcatz Mobility. My shop is in Frenaros, Ammochostos, on the main road (just along from Aquademy leisure). We are a valuable resource for disability equipment and information. I have a wealth of experience in healthcare knowledge, both hospital and in the community. I can offer practical problem-solving, and by renting and selling equipment. I serve tourists travelling with additional needs, or their accidental slip, trips and falls; also for people undergoing surgery who may need equipment temporarily or permanently, such as wheelchairs on a daily basis for attending outpatient’s appointments and similar. Families faced with difficult situations such as Parkinson’s, dementia, terminal care or plans to repatriate their loved ones, can use my long term reduced-rate bed package, so that the family do not have to buy a bed, or wait to wade through the lengthy government assistance application process. Sadly, Cyprus is still a long way behind many countries, in that disabilities remain topics of stigma, less talked about and, in some cases, prejudiced; my goal is to make the subjects less taboo, the assistance less difficult, and in general make accessibility for people with visible and invisible additional needs more acceptable and positively welcomed As a licenced trainer, I can also offer informal and formal training in first aid or moving & handling of people.
