Create Your Own Mini Golf Hazard

Speech: The two words that I’ve looked at to describe the Barlows are “innovative”, and “trendsetting”. From this I deduce that in this age, he would be the kind of person that would be inclined towards the fast developing world of technology, moving towards the future. In designing the minigolf hazard I sought to design something dynamic, that allows people to be creative; in this hazard, people will be able to decide on the course they want the hazard to take. Designing the Mini Golf Hazard

This is the user interface. Complete with instructions, it will first prompt the user to draw in the course they want the ball to take. The brush is of a fixed size to ensure that the user does not draw a path that is too narrow to walk one. [next]

Here the user selects a brush, [next]

The user is prompted to choose their hazard, and is presented with a list of options. In the case where the user doesn’t want to draw and just want to play, he can do so by selecting other people’s creations or from the highlighted pre-made hazards of the day. Of course our user can just tap on the course that is located under most recent, but here I will explain how the mini golf ID works. [next]

Loading the Mini Golf Hazard

Supposedly the user wants to access a golf hazard he made a few days ago, he can tap to search by ID, input the ID he was given, [next]

And you’re done. The machine will then send the necessary information over the physical hazard, which will then convert the designed mini golf into an actually playing field. This centre image shows how the hazard makes use of scissor lifts under each block to lift the block into the right height. [next]

And off the user goes to play! That’s it for the hazard.
