RESIDENTIAL DESIGN PROJECT

During the course of a Commercial Design studio, I learned about the different types of workplace design and how it has grown to become what it is today. Seeing how activity based planning helps improve workflow and efficiency within a corporate setting is very interesting and helped me better understand how design impacts the workplace. This project is a 4 story building group project in which each person had their own floor. We were given a company to design a new headquarters for. Notes:

Included on this page are examples of renderings from the second floor of the new headquarters. This floor has a color scheme of blue and green which is incorporated throughout along with natural elements to connect the interior to physical environment of Bend, Oregon.

Wayfinding cues are found throughout Mindbody’s new headquarters. Each elevator waiting area has an identical design with different coloring per floor provide a consistent point of wayfinding for users. Signage is also located near all of points of decision to make this space user friendly.
