QUEENS TERRACES
Residential Variety of Residential units
Queens Terraces Project aims to boost the dynamic life style in Queens and its surroundings. It inspires a healthy, sustainable community by establishing early childhood education and community centers, providing commercial offices and stores, accommodating residential units and celebrating nature in the heavily industrialized part of Queens, located adjacent to Vernon Boulevard, by the Queensboro bridge in New York city. The general idea here, is to design a mixuse high rise building in the heart of a fomer industrilized area using wood as the primary construction material. This move seeks to make a statement about renewable materials, rejuvenation and sustainabity.

Garden Campus The project concept is centered around immersing a campus in the middle of a garden. The site is located in downtown Phoenix and the project is focused on adaptive reuse. Three different structures are renovated to accomodate an ASU design campus. Two of these structures are combined and cut through to allow more light, air circulation and better movement. The intent is to provide opportunities for experiential learning and enhanced physical and mental health which will inturn have direct positive impact on the creativity of students.
Existing structure
Massing and Design Strategy The main existing building is a parking structure. My strategy and approach was to break apart the structure in order to create green spaces. The resulting smaller structures will be immersed in the garden and will provide smaller and conducive studio spaces
Pulling the struture apart to create smaller volumes
Creating green spaces while lettting air and light in. As the height of the individual structures are varied, this also create view to all directin from the campus

Campus is conneted by series of sky walks. This is done in oder to minimize disturbances in the gardens
North facing studios + Classrooms
East facing studios + Classrooms
Facade System The Facade is a huge part of this project. Apart from providing shade, it is also an effort to blend the untoched part of the paking structure with the rest of the campus.

F.A.B.R.I.C Barrio Fabric Barrio is a proposed extention of Fabric Tempe. Looking to open a branch in the historic neighborhood of Barrio, Tucson, the fashion house moved to convert an old residential house in the neighborhood into a fashion center. My idea for this project was to simply bring in a little modern look to the old structure while retaining the brick facade that is common in the neighborhood. Becuase of the spaces and programs required by the client and limited square footage, it was necessary to add a basement level. Original Building
