The influence of fairy tales on children’s perceptions of gender.
Proposed Outcomes
Short children’s picture book about Malala Yousafzai for ages 7+ (see boards for more details). What I’m submitting: • Book manuscript. • Dummy book (refined sketches, black and white, printed – smaller than actual book size) • 3 double pages (but maybe more if time permits) - fully rendered. Printed in actual book size. •

(Plan for after graduation) Series of books based on real stories of success and liberation about other girls around the world, to raise awareness of issues happening in parts of the world and to encourage people to act – overarching aim is to break the cycle of global poverty. – Potential collaboration in the future with organisations like Girl Effect (see boards for more details).

It is good to see that you have proposed to continue this project. It’s a great way to fight against the traditional children’s books – a good message.
I’d love to see how it’s going to look – it will be good to get experimenting with media and colour. Perhaps make sure you’re pushing yourself to the limit with how much you produce.
