BUCK Keepin' it real since 2004
I thought this would be a good video to show you first. it just gives you a sense of their range and style.
directors producers “It’s that special digitalalchemy artists that only happens Sowhen who working are they?together graphic designers toward common purpose.”
illustrators animators
Buck was founded in 2004 Jeff Ellenmeyer, Ryan Honey and Orion Tait. They now have head quarters in NYC and LA. Using a variety of different artists, Buck creates commercials and informative animations. The company is big on the power of collaboration.
Purpose
Buck strives to entertain. Though they mostly create commercials, they strive to give the viewer a fun and interesting experience. Buck does advertising for some pretty major clients. The thing I noticed most when researching was that most of their videos speak not only to the product but also to the company that is producing them.
Meaning/Concept
There is a lot of variety in their work. Because they work collaboratively there is not one set style. They change it up for everything they do.
New Technologies
Most of their work is commercial based so I don’t think there is much room for adapting it to new technologies. They could of course be pop up ads on iPhones or iPads. They might just need to consider the details that may not be viewable on a smaller screen.
General Mills Sherwin Williams National Geographic Google Hershey’s Honda IBM Mcdonalds Clients Apple Samsung Nickeloden Sundance Film Festival Fox Walmart Powerade American Express
These are some of their more important clients.
Sherwin williams. I chose this video because it shows the variety in their work. Also this is one of their biggest clients
Ill end with this short animation that Buck created for general mills. A lot of humor comes out of this company. This is a part of a campaign that Buck did for general mills. They created a whole new world of original characters all made of fruit snacks.
