HAUSE Inc. The project is about the adaptive reuse of Lu-Kung Radio Taiwan International sta dorm. I tried to deďŹ ne the creative center as a space that combines working and living program, so people who work here will become coworker and roommate. Furthermore, considering Lu-Kung is a place full of traditional culture, I had some area make open to the public, for people to experience the customs in Lu-Kung.

I tried to open the space for people to have more chance to interact with each other, by discussing the project with each other, having some leisure activities. Furthermore, in the traditional house, kitchen tended to be isolated by walls, but I thought that only food brings people to get to know others culture and custom.

Site Analysis
Negative Space Trees Create
The Green Maple outside the guesthouse are too high to provide shade, so I tried to set the tables under the Mountain Ebony that can not only provide shade, but also become a great view for people who stays here.

The way how Common Crepe Mytle was planted ouside the guest room only repeat the boundaries, perhaps and some privacy, so I created a backyard as an in-between form inside and outside, furthermore, this backyard can provide visitors great view when they look out their window.
Court
There are two patios in the middle of guesthouse, but the patio only provide sunlight. I rearranged the space, and created a semi-outdoor space that visitors can have more leisure space. I chose to plant Taiwan Cheery and Beadtree in patio, so visitors can enjoy the view here.

Traditional United College
Yard
Traditional united college has a courtyard in the middle of the building is the main living space for the residents, furthermore, the courtyard is a space that residents can have some vegatation planted.

Current Situation of Guesthouse Yard
The current situation of guesthouse is that the rearrangment of the plan take away yhe courtyard, in spite of that activities won’t be affected by weather, but we lose the chance to interactive with the nature.

Backyard Patio Courtyard
Frontyard I created a courtyard at the west side of the guesthouse for more chance that visitors can get close to the nature, and have great view inside. Besides, visitors will experisence indoor and outdoor shifting as they move in the house.

Main Gate of Tunghai As Tunghai community become increasingly prosperous, more and more people consider campus as a park, they will do exercise and picnic in campus. Besides, the Luce Chapel attracts a lots of tourists every year. Campus not only is an education institute, but also becomes a leisure space for community. Since, I tried to break the boundry between city and campus. I created some for tourists, residents and students to use.

Site Anaiysis
For visitors who take taxi or bus to school, the main gate is far away from them. Besides, the taxi stop has a distance to the main gate, so taxi drivers tend to park in front of the main gate where is not allowed to stop, this cause the traďŹƒc jam at the main gate.
Concept
Barrier-free
For me, boundry is not absolute isolation between two things. The current main gate kind of absolute isolation between urban and campus, so as urban form changing, campus become a place for people to ralax. Therefore, the main gate of campus should have some nodes for not only activities, but also a city transitional space.

Checkpoint
The only plaza at the main gate has no seats and shelter from rain and sunshine.
It is quite dangerous that guards at the main gate have to stand on the lane to check the visitors. Besides, manual checking take more times than electric this will cause a traďŹƒc jam.

Pass There is no complete sidewalk into campus at the right side of the gate, for convinent, students and visitors will cross the street directly without walking on the crosswalk.
Bypass The entrance to the parking lot for scooters is at the right side of the main gate, therefore, cars and scooters share the same pathway will cause the traďŹƒc jam, surely it’s quite dangerous for motorcyclists.

Han-Xi River Environmental Integration The water in Han-Xi River is mainly from domestic wastewater and rain, so the water here isn’t very clean, and was detected as moderately polluted. This project was about to improve the batture that can provide residents a space for some leisurely activities. In addition to that, the selection of plants was quite important for balancing between creat a space that people can do something relax and landscaping.

The water in Han-Xi River is mainly from domestic wastewater and rain, so the water here isn’t very clean, and was detected as moderately polluted. This project was about to improve the batture that can provide residents a space for some leisurely activities. In addition to that, the selection of plants was quite important for balancing between creat a space that people can do something relax and landscaping. The site is at the 6+983 to 8+408 of the Han-Xi River, there has residential area, school and supermarket nearby. It has great potential to become a place for resident to have some exercise and leisure activities there.

Regular user
The Elders The most commonly user on site. They will do some exercise and have small chat here.
The Family Most parents will take their children here to play, they will use the playgriund equipment here.
Potential User
The Teenagers Teenagers here dont do speciďŹ c activities here, they just chat and play with friends, or wait someone here.
The Youth The least commonly user on site, even there is a campus nearby, they don’t pass this area much.

There is a park at the left side of the site, I considered this park as a local park, but the entrance of the park is quite inconspicuous. Countine to the batture, it’s unpleasant to see the bridge pier. Furthermore, the residents occupied the field on the riverway. At the right side of the site, there is groundsill work in the river, it reveals that there is different level under the river, for this reason, the stream will be more faster than the other places.
