Field Education Practicum and internship are essential components of any School of Ministry degree. Gain insight into your calling as you learn through firsthand experience in your ministry and close friendship with a mentor. From Church ministries and youth groups, to social agencies and NGOs, Calgary offers you a wide array of internship opportunities. Practicum begins in your second year and runs five to six hours a week. Internship happens before the last year of your program, and typically runs full-time for 3-12 months.

Varsity Athletics Our competitive varsity athletics programs are constantly growing. Lions athletes continue to demonstrate their prowess by elevating their level of play. Entrance Scholarships All new students, including transfer students, who have a 75% high school admission average or a 3.0 post-secondary average are eligible for scholarships in Academic Excellence, Servant Leadership, Music and Athletics.
Christian High School Scholarship Ambrose offers up to $3,000 per year in Academic Excellence and Leadership Excellence scholarships to students who attend Christian High Schools.

Presidential Scholarship All new students who have not previously attended a post-secondary institution and have a minimum 85% high school admission average are eligible to compete for the full tuition Presidential Scholarship.
Church Servant Leadership Scholarship Ambrose partners with churches across Canada to identify the next generation of leaders in the church and the marketplace. Receive up to $4,000 in combined funding from Ambrose and your local church.

Student Loans Ambrose is a designated institution for the Province of Alberta, the Government of Canada and the United States of America student loans.
Continuing Scholarships Ambrose awards an extensive number of scholarships each year to returning Ambrose students on the basis of academic performance, student leadership and program funding.

Student for a Day September through April, Monday through Friday
Students grades 11 and 12, attend university for the day and experience the Ambrose community. Book two days in advance, tour the campus, sit in on class, and hang out with a student ambassador. You can also attend The Chapel if you book a Tuesday or Thursday.
